AI company DeepSeek has announced a new policy requiring all AI-generated content on its platform to be permanently and clearly labeled. This initiative is a direct response to new government regulations in China aimed at preventing the misuse of AI technology and increasing accountability.

DeepSeek Mandates Improved Labeling of AI Content

The new labeling system includes both visible markers, such as text or graphics, and invisible technical markers embedded within the content’s data. DeepSeek’s new rules strictly forbid users from altering, removing, or faking these labels.

The company has also prohibited any tools or services designed to tamper with the markings, warning that violations could lead to serious legal consequences.

To further promote responsible use of its technology, the AI company has also published a technical guide detailing the inner workings of its AI models, including information on their training processes and data usage. This effort is part of a broader push to ensure users understand the nature and origin of AI-generated materials.

The announcement comes as DeepSeek continues to innovate, with the recent release of its V3.1 model and other developments in the AI sector.
