Secretlab mounted its first booth at Tokyo Game Show this year, and the Secretlab MAGNUS Pro and MAGNUS Pro XL sat at the center of it. We dropped by at Makuhari Messe to get hands-on time with both desks, along with the newest Monster Hunter TITAN Evo.
The two desks sat side by side, and the color split is the first thing you notice. The MAGNUS Pro XL on display is finished in Black, while the standard MAGNUS Pro is in Pure White.
Inside the Secretlab MAGNUS Pro
Both are electric sit-stand metal desks running the same core hardware. Height adjustment covers 650mm to 1250mm with three programmable presets, driven by a dual-motor steel chassis rated for up to 120kg of distributed load, with anti-collision detection that stops the desk the moment it meets an obstruction. The standard desk is the 1.5m model, while the XL stretches the work surface to 1.7m for multi-monitor and multi-device setups.
The cable story is what separates the MAGNUS Pro from an ordinary standing desk. An integrated power supply column routes the desk’s own power down through one leg into a built-in socket, so a single cable goes in and nothing hangs off the back edge. A full-length tray under the surface takes the rest, from monitor cables to peripherals and a power strip, hidden behind a hinged cover with offset gaps so cables can still exit where they need to.
Magnetic attachments do the rest
Nearly everything else is modular and magnetic. The MAGPAD desk mat snaps onto the surface and doubles as the mounting base for cable anchors, and the accessory range covers the rest of a build: the MAGNUS Monitor Arm and its Heavy Duty Edition, a dual monitor arm, the Premium PC Mount, a magnetic headphone hanger, MAGRGB lighting, the MAGNUS Desk Riser, a vertical monitor stand setup, lockable casters, and an L-shaped desk extension. None of it needs drilling or clamping, and any piece can be moved or pulled off without leaving marks on the desk.
Now available in the Philippines
Both desks are now available locally through Secretlab’s official Lazada and Shopee storefronts. When the MAGNUS Pro first surfaced here, the 1.7m version bundled with a MAGPAD desk mat was listed at PhP79,000 on Lazada, while the MAGNUS Pro XL in Black appeared on Shopee with a choice of Stealth or Black MAGPAD.
The Monster Hunter TITAN Evo
The chair pulling the crowd at the booth is the TITAN Evo Monster Hunter Zinogre Edition. It uses Secretlab’s SoftWeave Plus fabric with a design drawn from the monster’s charged mane, worked into armor-like plating and sharp spike details across the backrest. It belongs to a Capcom-licensed Monster Hunter collection that also covers the Arkveld, Fatalis, and Rathalos editions, plus Fatalis and Palico lumbar pillows.
Secretlab says the latest Monster Hunter TITAN Evo will soon be on pre-order.
