Shortly after its announcement at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, ASUS Philippines has finally announced the launch date of its most anticipated Zenfone 5 series, happening on April 14, 2018!
For its local launch, ASUS goes #Backto5 as a welcoming gesture to a range of photograpghy-centric devices. The new Zenfone 5 smartphones offer a combination of premium design and cutting-edge mobile photography with AI technology.
Zenfone 5Z
Heading the pack is the Zenfone 5ZÂ with its 6.2-inch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio packed in a 5.5-inch frame, delivering a more cinematic experience for viewing any content without compromising comfort and ease of use.
It’s also the first Zenfone to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with AIE, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone also benefits from Qualcomm’s X20 modem, delivering jaw-dropping speeds, along with Bluetooth 5 for use with low-power wireless headphones.

The Zenfone 5 features a beautifully crafted design, complimented by a dual camera system, and a Snapdragon 636 processor delivering the performance you’ll need while being power efficient, thanks to the exclusive ASUS AI Boost feature which can optimize the device for games and other demanding tasks.
The device uses a dual-camera system that intelligently adapts to the scene, and learns at the same time to deliver high quality photos with every shot, thanks to a Sony IMX363 sensor complimented by a secondary shooter with a 120° wide-angle lens. It also features four-axis OIS, and AI assisted camera features such as AI Scene Detection, AI Photo Learning, Real-Time Portrait and Beautification.
Zenfone 5Q
The Zenfone 5Q features the word’s first true-quad camera system – a main and wide-angle shooter in both the front and rear. Unlike on other smartphones, each camera works independently for wefies, selfies, landscape shots, portraits or group shots, giving you the utmost flexibility when taking your photos.
Its 6-inch FHD+ display also has an 18:9 aspect ratio combined with ultra-slim bezels, giving you a larger viewing area while still being pocket-friendly with a 5.5-inch frame.
