Xiaomi has recently announced its newest mid-range device, and the successor to the popular Mi Max, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
The Mi Max 2 sports an improved design over its predecessor, and has a 6.44-inch Full HD display which is now complemented by thin bezels.
The choice of the Snapdragon 625 CPU may leave some people a bit disappointed, since the first one had a more powerful Snapdragon 650/652. But when you think about how power-efficient it is, then you’ll probably figure that it actually makes more sense.
There’s also 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB options for internal storage. In terms of imaging, the Mi Max 2 has a 12MP rear camera minus the telecam lens that is found on the Mi 6.
One of the key areas that the Mi Max 2 shines in, is the battery. Specifically, a massive 5,300mAh battery which comes with Quick Charge 3.0 capability. This allows you to charge the battery to 2/3 of its maximum capacity in just an hour.
Other features include a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C connectivity.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will retail at a starting price of $247 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, while the variant with a bigger 128GB of storage and will be sold for approximately $291.
