No Man’s Sky is a live download on iPhone and iPad, and Hello Games did not leave the mobile build a patch behind. The Forsaken update, the studio’s Halloween-timed release, went out on the same day for every platform, so the iOS version arrives with all 40-plus updates already folded in. In the Philippine App Store the listing has moved past pre-order and the button now reads Get: it is free to download, with the full game unlock at PhP1,290.00. The storefront carries a release date of October 29 for local accounts, a day after the studio’s own October 28 line, the same one-day gap we flagged when reservations opened.

What the Forsaken update adds

Forsaken leans on the spookier corners of the game. Players collect haunted mementos from derelict hulks, abandoned freighters, dig sites and infested outposts, then barter them with forsaken traders for biomechanical corvette modules, new cockpits and a fresh interior set.

There are new weapon and suit styles too, led by a larva tank helmet and a larva cannon multi-tool bought with preserved grubs. Hello Games also spent the patch on quality of life: package courier missions, a radial weapon select, a minimal HUD mode, and seamless warping to stars you can see in the sky, without opening the galactic map first. The studio describes the patch as its fifth major update this year, after Remnant, Xeno Arena, The Swarm and Cosmos, and all of them are free.

Free to try, PhP1,290 to unlock

The download costs nothing and the opening of the game is playable before anyone pays. A single purchase, labelled FULL GAME UNLOCK, covers the rest: the full campaign, the update history and Forsaken. The local storefront prices that unlock at PhP1,290.00, against USD19.99 in the United States, and the figure has not moved since reservations opened on October 13. The install comes in at 3.8GB, and Hello Games says the universe is generated at runtime rather than shipped as a fixed map, which is how the whole game fits in one download. Apple’s listing requires iOS 26.0.

Which iPhones and iPads can run it

Hello Games targets iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air and newer, with an A12 Bionic chip or later as the floor. Touch controls were rebuilt for the port instead of being mapped from a gamepad, and controllers, TV casting and, on iPad, a mouse and keyboard all work.

Two limits carried over from the studio’s first Switch launch: multiplayer is not supported, and Planetary Settlements need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. Apple rates the game 13+ in the Philippine storefront.

Forsaken is live on PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC and Switch as well, so the update is not a mobile exclusive. We went through the pre-order details and the supported device list when Hello Games opened reservations earlier this month.
