NVIDIA’s RTX Spark software updates arrive less than two weeks after the first laptops went on sale on October 16, and they move the pitch from the chip to the work the machine can carry. The October 28 batch adds GPU controls for local agents, three new model families and two games built around ray tracing. Laptops are already available from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI.

RTX Spark software updates give agents a share of the GPU

The new Resource Management section in the NVIDIA App decides how GPU resources are split between the app in the foreground and the agents running behind it. Push the allocation toward the app and frames hold. Push it toward an agent and the agent finishes sooner. NVIDIA says the controls sit under System then Advanced, and that hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling has to be enabled in Windows Settings first.

That matters because RTX Spark puts a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU on one superchip, with up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance. A local model chewing through a long recording and a game asking for frames draw from the same pool, and there is no second card to add.

One speech model replaces three separate tools

Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe carries the widest reach. NVIDIA’s open weight speech model handles transcription, speaker attribution and translation through plain-language prompts, covers 40 languages including seven Indic languages, and answers questions about the audio. A recorded meeting can become a list of decisions without a second app. The Granary v2 pipeline and fine-tuning recipes ship with it.

Liquid AI’s LFM3 family arrives with day-zero support across text, vision, audio, omni and decision models, all as open weights. Black Forest Labs’ FLUX 3 Image Klein brings local image generation and editing at 5.6 billion parameters, and NVIDIA says its optimized build runs on as little as 8GB of VRAM, with fine-tuning on the laptop through an NVIDIA NeMo AutoModel recipe. Adobe MAX in Miami Beach runs November 10 to 12, where the two companies will show Photoshop and Premiere beta builds with native RTX Spark support.

Phantom Blade Zero and path-traced Minecraft

Phantom Blade Zero, S-GAME’s wuxia action game, launches on PC and PS5 on October 29 with ray tracing and DLSS 4.5, carrying an 88 Metacritic average across both platforms. RTX Remix 1.6 covers the rest: DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering, up to 6x Multi Frame Generation and native RTX Spark support, plus an open source path-tracing beta for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1. Portal with RTX and the Half-Life 2 RTX demo picked up the same upgrades and now run on the laptops.

In the Philippines, the ASUS ProArt P14 and ProArt P16 are the RTX Spark machines with published prices, from PhP 224,995. NVIDIA says more Microsoft Surface systems ship in November, and local pricing for the Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI models has not been announced. The earlier launch-week software drop covered the models and tools that arrived with the laptops on October 16.
