IKEA Philippines has brought the IKEA YXSTABY collection to its Pasay showroom, a nine-piece line of gaming furniture and accessories designed together with XBOX.
The collection went on sale on November 4, following a launch held inside the IKEA store at Mall of Asia, where the company rebuilt sections of the showroom as gaming rooms.

Ikea YXSTABY Collection – PH
The YXSTABY Collection pairs one designer from IKEA with one from XBOX on each piece, drawing on furniture construction at one end and controller ergonomics at the other. That explains why a cushion looks like a directional button.
The result is furniture that carries a gaming reference without looking out of place in a living room. That is the argument IKEA is making to households that share one space.
What is inside the IKEA YXSTABY collection
The lineup covers the pieces a gaming setup actually needs, starting with a TV stand on castors that rolls a console and television from one room to another.
A gaming lounge chair holds a forward-leaning position during a match and reclines during longer sessions. A rolling side table keeps controllers and headsets within reach.

A flexible storage solution for cables uses felt inserts to protect what sits inside. It unfolds into a laptop stand when the desk has to serve another purpose during the day.
XBOX influence narrows to the details on the smaller items. There is a D-pad cushion shaped like the plus-shaped directional button, and a matching stainless steel platter cut in the same outline.

A tilting thumbstick stool draws from the controller analog stick, a mirrored display box holds prized controllers and collectibles, and the TV stand fits screens up to 55 inches.

IKEA YXSTABY Collection prices in the Philippines

IKEA Philippines lists the pieces individually on its online store, with the entry priced at PHP 999 for the D-pad cushion and PHP 1,499 for the controller display box.
The laptop support with storage sells for PHP 1,799, the monitor stand for PHP 1,999, and the thumbstick stool for PHP 2,999, all listed as arriving on November 4.

The TV stand on castors carries a listed price of PHP 6,999, while the gaming side table on castors is the most expensive piece on the page at PHP 9,999.
Why IKEA Brought the YXSTABY Collection to the Philippines
IKEA Philippines Sales Leader May Castillo framed the release around local play habits, citing a market that spends more time in games than any other surveyed country.
“For Filipino gamers, the collaboration is even sweeter with IKEA’s affordable pricing and insights into how people really live, especially since the Philippines ranks first globally among internet users who play video games on any device, and play an average of 11 hours per week, the highest weekly gaming time globally,” Castillo said.
The company also cited an estimated three billion gamers worldwide, a figure it uses to explain why gaming has changed how households spend their time and furnish their rooms.
IKEA Philippines Selling Manager Sarah Cox said the design started from the controller and the way players actually sit, rather than from a showroom arrangement of furniture.
“The YXSTABY collection is inspired from XBOX gaming controllers, designed around the way gamers actually play, and splashed with IKEA’s sense of fun,” Cox said.
Philip Dilé, Product Design Developer at IKEA of Sweden, said the two companies set out to build furniture that people want in the home, not furniture they accept because it is what gaming needs.
“XBOX knows what players need from their gaming setup, and we know how to solve the small problems that come with adapting that to everyday life at home,” Dilé said.
Where to See the Collection
The collection is on display at the IKEA showroom in Pasay and is sold through ikea.com.ph, with the launch event also running a cosplay runway built around the blue and yellow FRAKTA bag.
The launch follows an earlier IKEA push into gaming spaces, when ASUS Republic of Gamers worked with the retailer on room setups built for players and their gear.
