The first developer betas of iOS 27.3 are out, and the biggest addition is a wider set of Siri AI app actions. Apple says Siri can now finish more complex jobs inside 15 of its own apps, from tidying a Files folder to building a Safari tab group out of a list of links, instead of stopping at a single command.
The beta reached registered developers this week for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS. Apple has not given a release date beyond saying the finished software arrives as a free update later this year.
Siri AI app actions reach 15 Apple apps
The list covers Calendar, Files, Finder, Journal, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Preview, Reminders, Safari, Shortcuts and Weather. In Music, a request for songs for a day at the beach becomes a playlist. In Safari, Siri can pull tabs into a group, sort them, or close duplicates. In Messages, it can schedule a text for later. Apple suggests asking Siri what it can do inside each app.

Third-party apps can join through a new Siri AI Developer Preview built on App Intents, which lets an app hand its own content and actions to Siri. Apple says apps built on it reach customers in a few months, with App Store submissions opening in spring. The beta also adds Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish and Norwegian to Siri AI. The assistant still needs an Apple Intelligence-capable device and stays unavailable in the EU.
Audio Intelligence adds Live Rewind and Siri Recap
On Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 running watchOS 27.3, Audio Intelligence grows by two features. Live Rewind shows the last 15 seconds of a conversation as a text snippet when you double press the Digital Crown, and Siri Recap writes a title and key points into the Siri app after a conversation. Recaps delete automatically after up to seven days unless saved.

Both join Sound Recognition and Shazam, which already shipped in watchOS 27. Apple says each feature is opt-in, and that Live Rewind only listens when the crown is pressed.
Health app returns, plus Fitness+ and Safari changes
The redesigned Health app is back in testing after a first run during the iOS 27.2 beta. It splits into Insights and Longevity tabs, adds a Health Age figure computed from Apple Watch metrics such as VO2 max, resting heart rate and heart rate variability, and adds at-home movement tests that use the iPhone camera. Language support widens to global English, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese and both Chinese scripts.

Fitness+ adds Gym Strength, a progressive four-week plan that sets exercises, reps, sets and load around a user’s goals, schedule and gym equipment, with Apple Watch logging heart rate during each session. Safari gets Vertical Tabs and an Adaptive Dark Mode for pages without their own dark theme. StandBy’s new clock faces now work on every iPhone that supports StandBy, not just the iPhone Duo, which gets a sideways Reachability gesture. Siri Mode in Camera and Visual Intelligence with Apple Pencil are now available on supported iPads.
The betas are meant for developers and carry the usual warnings about unfinished software, so most users should wait for the public build. Apple’s public beta cycle for iOS 27 opened in July, and a December public release would fit the company’s usual pattern for a point-three update.
