Nothing has just announced that it will be relaunching its Ear line with the launch of the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) on April 18, 2024.

Nothing Ear and Ear (a)

There have been speculations of a new product coming soon from Nothing, especially after it teased new animals on its pages. However, recently, Nothing stated that it will reset its naming strategy when it comes to its audio line and it starts with the Nothing Ear and Ear (a).

Nothing first introduced the Ear (1) as its first-ever device in July 2021 with a local launch via Digital Walker a year later. Since then, the Ear (1) was joined by the more affordable Ear (stick) in December 2022 and the premium Ear (2) in July 2023.

Now, it appears that the rumors regarding the launch of the Ear (3) were somewhat true but it will no longer be dubbed the Ear (3). Instead, it will be the start of the new Ear series with a ‘focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user’.

The company teased the design of what we assume is the stem of the earbuds of the Ear itself though. It appears to carry over the transparent design, unsurprisingly.

As of writing this, it’s uncertain what the relaunch will entail for the Ear series. We assume that the Ear will be the more premium offering of the two, while the Ear (a) will be a more affordable option with trimmed-down features similar to how the Phone (2a) is the more device to the Phone (2).

The Nothing Ear and Ear (a) will be unveiled on April 18, 2024 and we expect to learn more about both earbuds in the following days.
