You hate to see it, and we hope that it’s not true, but rumors are going around that The Last of Us 2, initially slated for a February 21, 2020 release date, is going to be delayed to Spring of 2020, making it a possible Q2 release instead of Q1.
According to this news bit from Kotaku, Sony themselves are delaying the game to Spring. What this would normally mean is that the game may not be of a certain quality yet, due to possible bugs or additional polish needed. At this point, who knows what the reason is? While the news isn’t official, there have been whispers that an official press release will happen soon.
Whatever the case may be, I’m pretty sure we would all agree that while a delay is not something we all want, a top notch game like this deserves to be in the best state possible before shipping out.
