Meego UX (user experience) pre-Alpha 1.1 for handhelds was released yesterday while President Noynoy was taking his oath as Philippines 15th president. N900 users itched to install it in their phones, but initial reports said that the released code is not compatible with the Nokia N900. Is this the end for N900’s hope to have Meego OS? After 2 weeks of tinkering the Nokia Booklet 3G, I had a fair share of experiencing its celebrated features – style, efficiency and mobility. Style – its minimalistic yet robust look and feel; Efficiency- its capability to stay ‘connected’ and alive within 8-12 hours and to perform optimally for simple desktop processes and entertainment application; Portability – the convenience it can provide to its end-user.

The existence of netbooks was threatened by the recent release of the Apple iPad and the JooJoo. Obviously, the latter two tablets are definitely irresistible with their eye-candy looks and impressive UI (user-interface). But will tablet PCs, like the iPad and JooJoo really put an end to the fate of netbooks such as the Nokia Booklet 3G?

Our Nokia Booklet 3G trial unit from WomWorld Nokia London finally arrived this morning and it’s amazingly packed with pure awesomeness. Its box alone just really made me want to drool forever – okay, I’m over reacting – and it felt like almost-heaven when I opened the box.
