Creators Against Corruption and BetterGov.ph announced the Nerds and Voices Alliance on October 30, 2026, a coalition that pairs the civic tech group’s budget data with a network of Filipino creators. The target is the 2027 national budget, a PhP7.2 trillion proposal of 532,313 line items, and the plan is to explain it in videos instead of PDFs.
The two groups are not starting from zero. BetterGov.ph already publishes the 2027 National Expenditure Program line by line, with the House version, House Bill 10858, beside it. Creators Against Corruption, founded by Carlo Ople, has spent the year organizing storytellers, freelancers and technology workers around fiscal transparency.

What Creators Against Corruption adds
BetterGov.ph’s engineers can flag a suspicious reallocation, but a flagged line item does not travel far on its own. Under the alliance, those findings route to CAC’s network of verified creators, who will turn them into short-form videos, data visualizations, infographics and longer explainers for TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Ople put the division of labor simply: “The tech guys build the radar, and the influencers fire the megaphone.” He said the coalition is taking the 2027 budget “line by line and translating it into the everyday reality of commuters, taxpayers, and small business owners.”
What BetterGov.ph brings to the pipeline
BetterGov.ph founder Jason Torres said the data work is already running: parsing budget documents, scraping procurement records and mapping where allocations actually land. The alliance gives that output a distribution channel it never had. “Raw code alone doesn’t spark institutional reform, people do,” Torres said.

Three workstreams are named in the announcement. The 2027 Budget Radar keeps a shared queue of flagged items, including repeated flood control allocations, unprogrammed appropriations and contractor tracks, for creators to pick up. Creator Data Kits hand verified charts, plain-language data sheets and calculators to creators so published videos stay checkable. Open Civic Dashboards let readers pull the allocation for their own district.
When the budget explainers arrive
The coalition says it is already working together and will release data drops, live budget breakdowns and video explainers over the coming weeks. No schedule, creator roster or platform partnership was announced, and no budget findings beyond what is already public were disclosed.
Readers who want the numbers now have local options. Budget Pilipinas, which Gadget Pilipinas and Blip Media published this month, sets the NEP against House Bill 10858 for all 254 legislative districts. BetterGov.ph’s own portal goes further down, and any LGU or DPWH district can launch its own copy. The group’s earlier insertions tracker, which counted 7,465 budget changes in the House version, shows the kind of item this alliance intends to explain.
