The new Tensor G6 chip will power the devices and will drop their usual Samsung modems for a MediaTek M90 modem to improve cellular connectivity and battery efficiency drastically.
Design-wise, the Pro models will retain the horizontal camera bar but remove the infrared temperature sensor. In its place, Google is introducing “Pixel Glow,” a color-shifting LED integrated into the camera housing that acts as a visual indicator when the phone is face down.

Additionally, early leaks for the mid-range Pixel 11a reveal it will also feature the Tensor G6 and MediaTek modem. The company has scheduled its Made by Google event for August 12 in New York City, with an Indian launch following on August 13.
