OPPO has officially revealed the OPPO Find X9 Ultra’s native 10x optical zoom lens ahead of its expected April 21 launch.

The flagship’s crown jewel is a native 10x optical zoom lens built on a pioneering “five-reflection” periscope architecture. This achieves a 460mm equivalent focal length while maintaining a slim device profile. OPPO claims the system significantly reduces light interference, a common hurdle for extreme zoom lenses.
To ensure professional-grade precision, OPPO is implementing Active Optical Alignment (AOA) during manufacturing. This process calibrates the lens modules with micron-level accuracy, ensuring consistent sharpness across every unit. This is bolstered by a custom 50MP sensor and the new LUMO imaging engine, which reportedly delivers “optical-quality” results at 20x zoom and extends up to a 120x digital range.
Moreover, the brand is developing an external telephoto kit designed as a full optical system, featuring 16 precision glass elements that enhance light intake and image clarity. This module matches the aesthetic and durability of Hasselblad lenses. It aims to work in tandem with the phone’s internal telephoto camera, particularly the mid-range zoom lens, to improve image quality.
