macOS Ventura introduces new features like Continuity Camera, Handoff for FaceTime, and Stage Manager. Additionally, it has updated Mail, Messages, and Safari, to name a few.

Continuity Camera

Continuity Camera is perhaps the most exciting addition to the Ventura. In a nutshell, it allows you to use your iPhone as a webcam. Mac automatically recognizes the iPhone when it is nearby (yes, even wirelessly) and will use the camera.

In addition to benefitting from the cameras of the iPhone, you can also enjoy features like Center Stage, Portrait Mode, and the new Studio Light. The last of which is an effect that lights up your face while dimming the background.

It also uses the Ultra Wide camera of your iPhone to enable Desk View which simultaneously shows your face and an overhead view of your desk.

Handoff

Handoff is also coming to FaceTime with the new macOS version. This allows you to start a FaceTime call on one Apple device and transfer it to another Apple device nearby.

FaceTime Handoff

You can be on a FaceTime call on iPhone or iPad and switch the call to Mac with just a click, or vice versa.

Stage Manager

Lastly, Stage Manager which automatically organizes open apps and windows so you can focus on the main window while seeing those that are open.

The current window you have open will be displayed in the center, while other open windows will appear on the left side. You can also group windows together when working on specific tasks that require different apps.

Other features include Shared Tab Groups and Passkeys on Safari. The former allows you to share sites in Safari with friends, family, and colleagues, while the latter uses Touch ID or Face ID in place of passwords all from your iPhone.

You can now schedule and cancel emails and set reminders to come back to a message in Mail. Additionally, you can now also edit or undo recently sent messages or mark a message unread on Messages.

For gamers, Apple silicon empowers Mac to run AAA titles like EA’s GRID Legends and Capcom’s Resident Evil Village. Moreover, No Man’s Sky is coming to Mac and iPad later this year.
