Google AI Educator Series Unveiled in Partnership with DepEd, CHED, and TESDA

Google Philippines recently launched the Google AI Educator Series (GES), a no-cost, on-demand training module designed to give educators practical AI skills.

It has bite-sized, self-paced online modules ranging from 15 to 45 minutes, which allow participants to earn digital badges. It also gives them time back to focus on direct student interaction, creative pedagogy, and classroom connection.

At the heart of the Google AI Educator Series is a teacher-first vision that positions AI as a helpful assistant. The program allows Filipino teachers to receive help and support in:

• Building interactive learning experiences
• Providing personalized support
• Making admin work easier through automation
• Accelerating students’ research skills

Strategic Government Partnerships for Nationwide Reach

The recent launch of the GES at Google Philippines brought together key education leaders and policymakers to introduce practical AI upskilling pathways for educators and faculty nationwide. The nationwide rollout makes practical AI training easily accessible to teachers and faculty across basic, higher, and technical-vocational education.

• Department of Education (DepEd) – Google AI Educator Series has been live on the Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD) Hub since September 28. An upcoming Joint Circular will formally endorse the platform nationwide, building on Project S.I.N.A.G and other ongoing AI upskilling initiatives. It will come complete with Nation Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) accreditation to award Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit units required for Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license renewal
• Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – aligned with CMO No. 21, s. 2026, CHED will issue an advisory informing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the Google AI Educator Series as an optional, voluntary professional development resource
• Technical Education and Skill Development Authority (TESDA) – the GES is embedded into the TESDA Online Program, a free e-learning platform

The Google AI Educator Series’ content complements government efforts to promote AI literacy and responsible adoption alongside initiatives from DepEd, CHED, and TESDA.

Safe, Responsible, and Practical AI for Classrooms

The Google AI Educator Series emphasizes safe, ethical, and responsible technology usage. Modules cover practical classroom applications, prompt engineering for educators, data privacy, and academic integrity guidelines.
