CORSAIR has announced the Corsair HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS, a new gaming headset featuring 50mm non-Newtonian laminate drivers, a 10mm microphone capsule and simultaneous 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless. CORSAIR says battery life reaches up to 110 hours over 2.4GHz or 130 hours over Bluetooth, with RGB lighting off.
CORSAIR says the headset’s upgraded drivers are designed to reduce residual vibration after loud sounds, helping quieter details such as footsteps and reloads remain clear. The company also says the drivers deliver powerful bass, crisp highs and full-range audio. On PC, Dolby Atmos spatial audio is available through the Dolby Access app.
Corsair HS80 v2 MAX Microphone, wireless and comfort features
The HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS has a 10mm microphone capsule and a built-in pop filter. Its microphone can be muted by flipping it up. On PCs with a compatible NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, users can enable NVIDIA Broadcast microphone enhancement to help reduce background sounds such as keyboard noise, fan noise and room ambience.
The headset supports simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, allowing users to play on one device while taking a call or listening to music from another. CORSAIR lists compatibility with PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. For comfort, the headset uses memory foam ear cushions covered in breathable fabric, an adjustable floating headband and an aluminum frame. CORSAIR lists its weight at 370 grams.
CORSAIR claims up to 130 hours of battery life
CORSAIR rates the HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS for up to 110 hours on 2.4GHz wireless or up to 130 hours over Bluetooth with RGB lighting off. With RGB lighting on, the company lists up to 65 hours on 2.4GHz and up to 80 hours over Bluetooth. CORSAIR says these figures were measured at 50% volume. The headset’s controls include a volume scroll wheel with a multifunction button, a power button and a dedicated Bluetooth button. CORSAIR’s iCUE software can be used to adjust EQ settings, load audio profiles, control RGB lighting and configure NVIDIA Broadcast features.
