Apple announced the next generation of the Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026, and the company says it is coming soon to the Philippines. The new box is priced at ₱21,990 for the 4th-generation model, with the updated Apple TV Remote sold separately.

“The new Apple TV 4K is our most immersive home theater experience yet,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “Pair it with HomePod for the best surround sound setup we’ve ever offered, and it makes managing your Apple Home accessories easier than ever. Now, alongside HomeView and HomePod mini 2, it’s part of the most connected Apple Home we’ve ever built.”

Faster performance and new remote features

The A19 chip delivers up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous generation, for faster navigation and smoother animations. The chip also adds a dedicated AV1 decoder for more efficient, high-quality streaming at lower bandwidth. The Apple TV Remote keeps its familiar design and adds Find My support with Precision Finding, plus an option to play a sound on the remote, which is exclusive to the newest Apple TV Remote.

A home hub for Apple Home

The new box works as a home hub that controls smart home accessories from anywhere. With a compatible doorbell, notifications appear on the TV so users can see who is at the door, speak with them, and unlock the door without interrupting what they are watching. It also supports automations, guest mode, and secure local processing of HomeKit Secure Video, and it connects to smart home devices through built-in Wi-Fi and Thread. Accessories are sold separately.

Four-speaker surround sound with HomePod

According to Apple, the box supports a four-speaker surround sound setup for the first time, with two HomePod (2nd generation) speakers in front and two HomePod mini 2 speakers in the rear.

Fitness, games, FaceTime, and photos

Apple says Apple Fitness+ turns the living room into a workout studio, while Apple Arcade and the App Store’s game library make it a home arcade. The Apple TV app carries Apple Originals and live sports, including Formula 1 in the U.S., Major League Soccer, and Friday Night Baseball, subject to subscriptions and blackouts. Users can make FaceTime calls through Continuity Camera on compatible iPhone and iPad devices, view photos, and customize how their iCloud photos appear on the TV with an iPhone or iPad, setting up Memories & Slideshows or Portraits screen savers without exposing the entire library. A new screen saver shuffle feature rotates between categories automatically, and Apple notes that some apps are not available in all areas and that availability is subject to change.

The environment

The new Apple TV 4K uses 100 percent recycled gold plating and tin solder in all Apple-designed printed circuit boards, 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets, and 80 percent recycled aluminum in the thermal module. The Apple TV Remote enclosure uses 100 percent recycled aluminum, part of Apple’s plan to be carbon neutral across its footprint by 2030.

Price and availability

The 4th-generation Apple TV 4K is priced at ₱21,990 and is coming soon to customers in the Philippines. The new Apple TV Remote is compatible with Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K and can be bought separately, while Find My support is available on the Apple TV Remote (2nd generation or later) and playing a sound to locate it is exclusive to the newest remote. Precision Finding requires the Apple TV Remote (4th generation) paired with an iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, or iPhone 17 or later, excluding iPhone 17e, running the latest iOS, and availability varies by region.
