LG Electronics (LG) showed at IFA 2026 how some of the most familiar parts of daily life could be simpler, smarter, and thoughtfully designed.
It puts seven new home appliances in the spotlight, all built around artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, and space-conscious design. The lineup speaks to everyday routines: keeping food fresh, caring for clothes, cleaning up and getting ready for the day.
LG – IFA 2026 Innovations
A Refrigerator You Can Talk To
The next-generation LG SIGNATURE refrigerator brings Large Language Model (LLM)-based conversational AI into the kitchen. Owners can use natural voice commands, including asking how best to store ingredients.

It has a 6.8-inch LCD that supports AI-powered cooling management. Additionally, AI Fresh tracks temperature swings and can pre-cool the interior up to two hours ahead of an expected door opening.
Laundry That Adapts to the Load
The Fit & Max washer and dryer pair combines AI fabric care with efficiency. The washing machine uses up to 70 percent less energy than the minimum for an A-grade rating, while the matching dryer earns an A-grade rating under the latest standards.

Both use the Direct Drive Motor and Dual Inverter Heat Pump, with AI Wash and AI Dry detecting fabric types and adjusting cycles. TÜV Rheinland certifies the Direct Drive Motor for up to 30 years.
It is scheduled for a European launch this year,
One Laundry Tower, Less Floor Space

The flagship 25-inch WashTower brings the washer and dryer into a single body. LG says the new size sits between its 24-inch and 27-inch models and was built around European living spaces; the WashTower line has passed 3.2 million units in global sales.
A Refrigerator That Fits Flush
The Fit & Max French-door refrigerator uses a Zero Clearance design to sit flush against cabinetry.

Inside, a Full Convert Drawer switches between refrigeration and freezing, while Dual FRESHConverter+ compartments carry preset temperature modes for different foods.
It also features a 6.8-inch LCD display and has been recognized by both the 2026 iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award.
Dishes in an hour
The Fit & Max dishwasher runs a 1-Hour Wash & Dry cycle. QuadWash Pro uses micro-bubbles to help detergent reach food residue, while Hybrid Air Dry improves air circulation to shorten drying time and cut energy use.
AI SenseClean reads soil levels with a turbidity sensor and adjusts water temperature, cycle time, and detergent amount. LG says key models across the lineup, premium and volume alike, reach an A-grade energy rating.
LG Brings Its Technology to Hair Care
The AirDew Hair Dryer is LG’s first hair dryer. It uses patented Triple Airfluidics technology to generate high-velocity, multidimensional airflow,
Moreover, temperature control and the AirGlide brush effect retain moisture and limit heat exposure. LG says the body weighs about as much as a cup of coffee, and a patented Rotating Plug makes it easier to connect to power. Magnetic nozzles allow one-handed attachment, and a cradle doubles as storage for the dryer.
A Hood That Catches Smoke at the Source
Rounding out the seven is the next-generation LG SIGNATURE Downdraft Hood. Instead of hanging above the cooking area, it captures smoke and odors at the cooking surface.
It has optimized airflow and motor control for quieter operation. Moreover, a built-in motion sensor lets users adjust extraction power without touching the hood.
The LG IFA 2026 lineup shows how technology can do more of the thinking while fitting into routines people already keep.
