TGS 2026 – Five days of “non‑stop gaming”

The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) has confirmed that TGS 2026 will run from September 17 to 21, with two Business Days followed by three Public Days, and an expected attendance of around 300,000 visitors. The show will again be held across Makuhari Messe’s Exhibition Halls 1–11 and the adjacent TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, marking the first time Tokyo Game Show extends to a full five days.

To anchor this expanded format, CESA has unveiled a new main visual by illustrator Zashikiwarashi, returning for a second consecutive year. The artwork is built around five themes that embody “5 DAYS of non-stop gaming,” featuring the central character from last year’s teaser now fully immersed in the show’s atmosphere, and will appear across staff apparel, signage, and promotional materials throughout the venue.

Tickets, new premium tiers, and a gold anniversary collectible

For public visitors, TGS 2026 will open on September 19–21, with a refreshed ticket lineup that introduces new categories for the show’s 30th anniversary. A new Premium Ticket, priced at 30,000 yen, grants access to all three public days, priority entry, original merchandise, and use of an on-site “Energy Spot” lounge designed as a dedicated relaxation area. Fast Tickets, which also include priority entry and special benefits, remain available at 6,000 yen per day, while standard One-Day Tickets for junior high school students and older are set at 3,000 yen, and Special Discount Tickets at 1,500 yen.

Premium and Fast Tickets will first be offered via lottery from July 11 to 15, with first-come, first-served sales opening on July 20, a national holiday in Japan. Date-specific One-Day Tickets go on sale from July 20 as well, with multiple domestic ticket vendors, and international visitors able to purchase through Trip.com. Children of primary school age and younger can enter free of charge on public days, except when using Premium or Fast Ticket priority entry.

To mark the 30th anniversary, CESA is also issuing a limited “30th Anniversary Ticket,” a made-to-order One-Day Ticket that includes a pure gold medal engraved with visuals from popular game titles. This commemorative ticket is priced at 3,300,000 yen and is available only within Japan via domestic ticket vendor asoview!, underscoring its positioning as a collector’s item rather than a mass-market pass.

On the business side, September 17–18 will be reserved for industry professionals, with three Business Day ticket tiers: an Advance Registration pass at 16,500 yen, a Gold Pass at 44,000 yen with lounge access, and a Black Pass at 110,000 yen that adds a dedicated lounge and special priority entrance. Admission on Business Days will be restricted to screened industry attendees; students and anyone under 18 will not be allowed to enter.

Sponsors, creator spaces, and infrastructure

TGS 2026’s sponsor lineup highlights the show’s blend of entertainment, esports, and technology. Red Bull, Suzuki, NURO, and CHARGESPOT have been confirmed as Special Sponsors for this year’s edition. Red Bull will return as a Platinum Sponsor, providing free energy drink samples via multiple booths and hosting “Red Bull Sphere on Tour” activations, culminating in a Street Fighter 6 showcase event titled “Red Bull Revenge” on the main stage during the final public day.

Suzuki Motor Corporation is set to showcase “Hayabusa Tuned by JURI,” a custom GSX1300R Hayabusa inspired by Street Fighter 6 character Juri, as part of a special exhibition that bridges in-game and real-world design. Sony Network Communications’ NURO brand will handle high-speed network infrastructure for the venue, enabling smooth online streaming and stage productions, including a collaboration stage with esports team REJECT that will be simulcast via official channels. INFORICH’s CHARGESPOT mobile battery-sharing service will deploy charging stands across Makuhari Messe, supported by nationwide digital signage campaigns carrying TGS promotional materials.

Twitch will serve as title sponsor for the “TGS Creator Lounge Presented by Twitch,” a dedicated space inside the venue for streamers, influencers, and creators to gather, broadcast, and share live coverage of the show. The lounge is intended as a hub for real-time content with an emphasis on interactive chat and community engagement, mirroring Twitch’s core platform experience. Fashion brand BEAMS will again supply staff wear, incorporating Zashikiwarashi’s main visual into exclusive apparel worn by operations staff throughout the event.

Influencer program and family-focused content

Building on last year’s initiative, TGS 2026 is expanding “TGS BOOSTERZ,” its official influencer team aimed at “boosting and broadcasting the ultimate excitement of Tokyo Game Show to the world.” The second wave consists of 13 creators from Japan and Taiwan, spanning artists, comedians, pro gamers, TikTok gaming personalities, and fashion and lifestyle creators. Names include singer Eir Aoi, comedian JP, voice actress and host Kaori Maeda, Red Bull athletes and fighting game pros Gachikun and Bonchan, TikTok-focused gaming creators such as Saichan Nel, Rinatee, Misora-kun, Yukidora, and Pyon, and Taiwanese creators RJ and Yougun Lee. Each BOOSTERZ member will help spotlight games, stages, and the overall atmosphere through live appearances and online coverage throughout the five-day show.

For families, the “Family Game Park” is returning as a dedicated space at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall during the three public days. Admission will be free for children aged 15 and under and their accompanying guardians, with entry limited to families in order to maintain a safe environment. The area will be split into “ASOBIBA! (Play Zone),” featuring child-friendly playable demos, and “MANABIBA! (Learning Zone),” focused on workshops and experiences that introduce children to game development work. A kids’ stage and character meet-and-greets are planned as part of the program, though entry to the main exhibition halls will still require separate tickets for attendees of junior high school age and older.

TGS 2026’s official visitor website has now launched in both Japanese and English, providing exhibitor lists, ticket information, and ongoing updates on organizer-led initiatives. Alongside social channels on X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and an official LINE account, CESA plans to push real-time notifications about ticket sales, stage programs, streams, and visitor guidance as the event approaches and during the show itself.
