Enter Yasmine

Capcom has added Yasmine to Street Fighter 6, introducing the franchise’s first Filipino martial artist and expanding its Year 4 character roster. The new fighter is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 through the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass.

Yasmine(2)

Yasmine draws on Eskrima, a Filipino martial art she learned alongside her older brother under the guidance of her grandfather. Her story centers on a search for that missing brother, while her gameplay is built around quick, precise attacks with a karambit knife.

Her move set emphasizes aggressive pressure, mobility, and combo extensions. Players who successfully execute her techniques can enter Bayani Mode, an enhanced state that opens up further offensive options.

Yasmine’s default Outfit 1 places her in Eskrima combat attire, while Outfit 2 features a school uniform. The second outfit can be earned by maxing out the Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode, or purchased using Fighter Coins.

Makati launch event

Capcom will mark Yasmine’s arrival with an official community event on Sunday, August 9, at Salud! by Primera Bar Restaurant on Bautista Street in Palanan, Makati. Doors open at 2 p.m., with the event scheduled to run until 9 p.m.

The program includes an official Yasmine gameplay showcase, a double-elimination Street Fighter 6 tournament, community activities, giveaways, and free-play sessions. Tournament pools will use best-of-three, first-to-two matches, before shifting to best-of-five, first-to-three matches for the Top 8 finals.

The tournament’s main-stage finals are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by prize presentations for the top three finishers. Fans unable to attend can watch the event through Capcom Asia’s official YouTube channel and Enduins Games’ YouTube channel, although Capcom noted that the programme and broadcast arrangements remain subject to change.

Cosplayers

Attendees may also receive limited Yasmine-themed merchandise, including an event T-shirt, lanyard, and collectible keychains, while supplies last. Capcom has announced appearances by guests Extra Rai, Maximus, Fallensanity, Little Things PH, and Pao Islaw, alongside cosplayers NYAATI, YURI, Roji Pelayo, and Rymane Omi.

Onimusha collaboration

Yasmine’s release also coincides with battle-balance changes across the full Street Fighter 6 roster. Capcom has directed players to the Battle Change List in Buckler’s Boot Camp for the complete adjustments.

Capcom x Onimusha Collaboration

An Onimusha collaboration, titled “Oni no Michi, Ken no Michi,” will run from August 7 to 31. The limited-time event will give the Battle Hub an Onimusha-inspired look and offer login rewards including the Oni EX Color, avatar gear, titles, and other cosmetics.

Oni EX Colors

Street Fighter 6 is currently available across its supported platforms and has sold more than four million units since launch, according to Capcom.
