realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition is Coming to the Philippines

realme is bringing the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition to the Philippines. The Warner Bros. tie-in handset that the company showed off in September will get a local release, though realme is holding back the price and the release date for a full reveal.

Filipino Potterheads had a hint earlier. realme Philippines teased the device with a Platform 9¾ reference on October 19, and this release confirms the edition is bound for the local market.

realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition design

The theming begins on the back panel, where a Hogwarts Four-House Crest sits on a 3D diamond-pattern leather finish inspired by the wizard chessboard. Under UV light or sunlight, all four house colors appear at once, an effect realme calls Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Tech. The camera deco is modelled on Hedwig and cut from aluminum alloy, “Welcome to Hogwarts” is laser-engraved on the mid-frame, and the whole body measures 8.47mm.

The software follows the same script: a Hogwarts Castle wallpaper, a Harry Potter boot animation, a fingerprint animation that sends acceptance letters flying, and more than 30 redesigned app icons.

The hardware is the standard realme 16 Pro 5G

Strip away the theming and the internals match the standard realme 16 Pro 5G. That means a 200MP LumaColor main camera with a Samsung HP5 sensor and OIS, which realme says uses the industry’s first TÜV Rheinland-certified LumaColor algorithm. An 8MP ultrawide sits beside it, with a 50MP selfie camera up front.

Power comes from a 7000mAh Titan Battery with 80W Ultra Charge, the display is a 144Hz AMOLED panel, and the chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max. The phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.

What is still unknown for the Philippines

Packaging is where this edition diverges most from the base phone. It ships in a limited edition gifting box styled as a Hogwarts acceptance kit with themed extras inside, and realme is keeping one hidden surprise for closer to launch. Reports put the global run at 5,000 units, so stock will likely be tighter than a regular realme release.

How about price and availability? Expect a premium over the standard model, since special editions rarely match the base price, and realme has not said whether both memory variants will be offered here. The standard realme 16 Pro 5G arrived in April at PhP31,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant and PhP37,999 for the 12GB+512GB model, which is the number to watch when the Harry Potter Edition is priced.
