Google’s “Pixel Glow” Rumored to Launch as “HiLight” with Customizable Colors

Google‘s upcoming Pixel 11 Pro series is bringing a new notification system to its rear camera bar. Originally rumored to be named “Pixel Glow,” leaked information shared by tipster Evan Blass reveals the RGB LED feature will officially be dubbed “HiLight.”

Google “HiLight” Face Down Alert

Designed to work when the phone is face down, HiLight will visually alert users to incoming calls and indicate when Gemini is active.

Thanks to code strings uncovered by 9to5Google in the latest Contacts app, we now know that HiLight will offer personalized color-coded alerts. Users will be able to assign colors to individual contacts so they know exactly who is calling. The leaked palette of supported colors includes Blue, Cyan, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Teal, White, and Yellow.

The feature is expected to debut on the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold when the company officially unveils the lineup on August 12.
