MediaTek officially confirms the launch date for the Dimensity 9500. It is set to be unveiled at a special event in China on September 22, just one day ahead of its rival, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

This move highlights the competition in the high-end smartphone chipset market. However, specific details about the 9500S remain under wraps. The new SoC is expected to build upon its predecessors, the 9400 and 9400+, with performance improvements.
Early teasers from vivo have already showcased the chipset’s power, with a reported AnTuTu v11 benchmark score exceeding 4 million on an upcoming X300 and X300 Pro device. The Dimensity 9500S’s anticipated all-big-core CPU design is also a point of interest for tech enthusiasts.
The rapid succession of new chipset announcements suggests an intense race to dominate the next generation of high-performance Android smartphones.
