Tecno has just launched the Tecno Phantom X2 series comprised of the Tecno Phantom X2 and X2 Pro. The latest members of the company’s premium Phantom family with a powerful chipset and the first retractable portrait camera on one of the devices.
The Tecno Phantom X2 series is built around 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates. The front is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Additionally, they are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipsets. The chipsets are coupled with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The vanilla option comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, while its Pro sibling has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM.
The duo also shares 5160mAh batteries with support for 45W Super Charge as well as 32MP front cameras.
Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Rear Camera
The biggest difference between the two lies in the camera department. The Pro option features the world’s first retractable portrait 65mm 50MP ISOCELL JN1 sensor with a wide f/1.5 aperture. It helps create a natural bokeh and helps separate the subject from the background. The camera doubles as a telephoto lens with 2.5x magnification.
Meanwhile, the main camera is a 50MP ISOCELL 3.0 sensor accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide lens.
Visually, the Pro variant has a colored ring around its retractable portrait lens.

Tecno Phantom X2
The vanilla variant, on the other hand, has a large 1/1.3-inch RGBW 64MP main sensor with one glass element that increases light intake by 30%. The main camera is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

Tecno Phantom X2 Series Pricing and Availability
The Tecno Phantom X2 Series will be available in Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks. The Phantom X2 is priced at SAR 2,700 (around PHP 40,000), while the Phantom X2 Pro will go for SAR 3,500 (around PHP 51,500).
The availability of the latest Phantom X-series in other markets wasn’t announced though, so we’ll have to wait and see.
