MediaTek Dimensity 7000 to Have a New GPU According to Leak

MediaTek is reported to launch an upper mid-range chipset called the Dimensity 7000. The initial leak also said that it is believed to be built with the TSMC 5nm process, however, a new leak revealed its specs.

According to the new leak, the CPU of the new chipset will have two clusters of four cores. One cluster is said to run at 2.75GHz, while the other is clocked at 2.0GHz. The more powerful cluster will have Cortex-A78 cores with equal clock speeds. Meanwhile, the other cluster is comprised of Cortex-A78 cores.

In the graphics department, it is rumored to have an ARM Mali-G510 MC6. Which if it is true, it will be the first time it is used in a smartphone chipset.

MediaTek has yet to reveal anything official about the Dimensity 7000 but it is expected to make its debut as early as Q1 2022.
