The V5 Lite is the latest addition to Vivo’s arsenal of selfie-centric smartphones. Only recently announced, it’s expected to be the most affordable of the lot and is a toned down version of the V5.
In terms of design, it still looks like the V5 with the lines at the metal back with the Vivo branding. One noticeable difference however, is the capacitive Home button.
The device sports the same 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a yet unidentified octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. It also runs on Marshmallow out of the box with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 3.0 on top. Unlike its more powerful brothers, the V5 Lite doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, probably to lower costs.
The V5 Lite has a 13MP main camera for stills. Unfortunately, there’s no dual-camera setup here as the front-facing camera is a single 16MP shooter, but still retains the selfie softlight flash.
Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but what we do know is that it will come in Crown Gold and Rose Gold variants, and will be available in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, and here in the Philippines.
