It’s raining Cherry Mobile phones! A couple of days ago, Cherry Mobile announced Cosmos S2, a super slim smartphone with an AMOLED HD Display and Octa Processor. Just today, we were alerted by some of our tipsters that Cherry Mobile isn’t done yet in announcing new phones as they silently launched Cosmos TWO. Obviously, Cosmos TWO is a follow up to last year’s Cosmos One, which was sold for PhP6,999.

Premium design and premium specs are two of TWO’s major selling propositions. For one, its screen is a 5″ On-cell full lamination high definition display curve-edged glass. Quite a mouthful, eh, but it only means that it looks sexy almost akin to the edge of Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6.

Its minimalist capacitive home button looks snazzy for a device that costs less than 6-grand. And look at how thin it is!

Here’s what makes Cosmos TWO different from its previous iteration:

  • TWO’s screen is smaller (5-inch), compared to ONE’s 5.5-inch HD IPS Display.
  • TWO’s processor is a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6732, compared to ONE’s octa-core 1.4Ghz Mediatek 6592m.
  • TWO and ONE has the same ROM and RAM specifications: 8gb ROM and 1gb RAM; expandable up to 64gb
  • TWO and ONE are both dual sim, but only the former is LTE capable. Though we still need to verify, TWO seems to be dual LTE capable as MT6732 supports it based on our MediaTek’s website.
  • TWO has 14mp BSI Main Camera and 5mp Front Camera. It’s pretty much the same compared to its predecessor except for its Front Camera, which is 8mp on ONE.
  • TWO’s battery capacity is a bit lower than ONE: 2100mAh vs 2400mAh.

What do you think of this, guys? Do you think that Cosmos TWO is a worthy upgrade from its previous iteration? Let us know your thoughts below.
