A 975-gram clamshell from Lenovo that refuses the usual thin-and-light compromise.
A 14-inch laptop that weighs 975 grams normally asks the buyer to give something up, and the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition argues that the tradeoff can be closed instead. The machine is a clamshell rather than a convertible, and what it carries is a magnesium aluminum alloy chassis, a 2.8K POLED display, an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor, and the Aura Edition software layer.

The weight question
At 975 grams, or 2.15 lbs, and 13.9mm thin, this machine is lighter than most tablets with a keyboard case attached, and Lenovo reached that number with a Thixomolded magnesium aluminum alloy chassis.
Thixomolding shapes magnesium at a semi-solid temperature rather than a fully molten one, which keeps the wall sections thin without the brittleness that usually follows. The finished shell measures 312.6 x 213.8 x 13.9mm.

Durability was tested rather than assumed, with the machine evaluated against MIL-STD 810H, the same standard Lenovo applies to its commercial laptops.
The finish is an exclusive Yoga coating with a soft-touch feel that resists fingerprints and water, and the sole colorway is Seashell.
What powers the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition
Under the lid sits an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor with 16 cores and 16 threads, boosting to 5.1GHz with an 18MB Smart Cache and an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS.

Memory is 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X running at 9600Mhz with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, which places this machine in the Copilot+ PC category that Windows uses for on-device AI features.
Graphics come from an integrated Intel Arc B390 GPU built on the Xe3 architecture. Connectivity runs on Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 with three Thunderbolt 4 ports for power delivery and DisplayPort 2.1 output.
The display carries the case
The 14-inch 2.8K panel is POLED at 2880×1800, and it runs at 120Hz across a 16:10 aspect ratio that leaves more room for documents than a wider panel would.

Peak brightness reaches 1,100 nits with 500 nits typical for everyday work, and color coverage holds 100% of both the P3 and sRGB gamuts with TCON calibration behind it.
The panel also carries DisplayHDR True Black 1000, Dolby Vision support, Eyesafe certification, and flicker-free operation.
Sound, calls, and privacy
Four stereo speakers carry the audio, split as two 2W woofers and two 2W tweeters, optimized with Dolby Atmos and driven by a Smart Amplifier that keeps the low end audible at lower volumes.

A quad-microphone array with smart noise cancelling handles the other direction, and the 5.0MP camera pairs a visible sensor with an IR sensor behind an E-shutter switch.
The E-shutter cuts power to the camera at the hardware level rather than relying on software, and the IR sensor enables Zero Touch features inside Lenovo Vantage, including Windows Hello sign-in.
The same presence detection can save battery when the user steps away, which matters more on a machine this thin.
The Aura Edition layer
Aura Edition is the software half of the package, and it includes Smart Modes, Smart Care, and Smart Share across the whole lineup.

Smart Modes covers Working, Gaming, Creating, Entertainment, Meeting, and Learning, each with its own configuration for items such as VPN settings, attention timers, blocked distracting domains, and noise cancelling.
The modes are reachable through the Aura widget on F9 or inside Lenovo Vantage, where the software can also set them automatically from learned behavior over time.
Smart Share adds Tap to Launch for phone galleries and Tap to Pair for Bluetooth accessories, while Smart Care puts a Lenovo technician on live chat or the phone. Battery capacity is 75Wh with Rapid Charge Express, which returns up to three hours of runtime from a 15-minute charge.
What the design asks in return
The ports are three Thunderbolt 4 connections and nothing else, so an adapter becomes part of the bag for anyone carrying a USB-A drive, an HDMI monitor, or a camera that still uses SD cards.

There is also no pen support on this model, and Lenovo lists the Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition on its Philippine online store with retail availability still to be announced.
What the machine gets in exchange is a 975-gram chassis that passes military-grade durability testing, a 120Hz POLED display that reaches 1,100 nits, and a processor package that handles creative work without a discrete graphics card.
That combination is the argument in the name, where the style is the 975 grams and the Seashell finish, and the power is the Core Ultra X9 platform inside it. It also shares a family with the Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1 released weeks earlier, and with the broader push previewed at IFA 2026.
