The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) launched the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 30th Anniversary Special website and unveiled details on special initiatives celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Additionally, it announced the Creators Lounge, new sponsor and partner companies, the appointment of the official ambassador for the Family Game Park (FGP), and TGS NEWS STUDIO. The last of which is a preview program airing from today across various official channels.

TGS 30th Anniversary Special Website Goes Live
The TGS 30th Anniversary Special Website is now live as it celebrates 30 years since its inaugural event in 1996.
The website features a timeline tracing the 30-year history of TGS alongside a gallery of past event posters. The latest on various 30th-anniversary initiatives scheduled for this year.

Additionally, TGS organizer CESA is also celebrating its 30th anniversary and will launch a CESA 30th Anniversary Website on August 26.
CESA will also introduce the CESA Game Certification – an interactive online trivia game designed to let you discover 30 years of history and culture in the Japanese gaming industry.
Full Lineup of 30th Anniversary Special Initiatives Revealed
- 30th Anniversary Ticket – a special ticket that comes with an exclusive pure gold medal engraved with visuals from popular titles. Made-to-order sales are open until September 8
- 30th Anniversary Title Talk Stage – a special program featuring producers from popular game titles celebrating their own milestone anniversaries this year. The first episode is scheduled to stream on September 11, with a second episode and live talk stages during the event planned
- 30Years of TGS and Gaming History – a panel exhibition tracing the history of the gaming industry from 1996 to the present day will be featured at the venue. The display will highlight historic Japan Game Awards winners, major gaming industry milestones, and hit titles alongside current affairs of each era
- 30th Anniversary Message Board – a dedicated message board will be set up at the venue
- 30th Anniversary Photo Sharing Campaign – Take a photo with the 30th Anniversary photo frame at the venue and post it on social media with the hashtag #TGS30th for a special commemorative sticker
- 30th Anniversary Messages from Game Developers – autographed message boards (shikishi) contributed by game creators and development teams will be displayed at the TGS 2026 venue
- 30th Anniversary Family Game Garapon (Raffle) – At the Family Game Park, located at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, visitors who complete a quick survey at the venue can try their luck at the Family Game Garapon raffle for a chance to win prizes
- 30 BOOST FOOD – special food menus based on the concept of “30” – such as 30% extra portion or a 30-piece set with increased volume and additional toppings will be available at the venue food
Creator Lounge Presented by Twitch & New Sponsor Announced
The TGS Creator Lounge Presented by Twitch was announced, a hub where influencers and content creators gather to share the excitement directly from the event floor. In addition, Razer has officially joined as a supporting sponsor for the lounge.
This year’s Creator Lounge will offer expanded streaming environments and networking spaces to support content creation and broadcasting by creators.
Kewpie No Tamago Confirmed as Food Court Sponsor; SB Payment Service Co., LTD Joins as Special Sponsor
Kewpie No Tamago is confirmed to return as a sponsoring partner bringing color to the food court areas.
As a special 30th-anniversary feature this year, select food trucks in the food courts will offer a complimentary topping service featuring Kewpie No Tamago’s Tare de Taberu Tamago (flavored egg) series.
Additionally, SB Payment Service Co., Ltd., has joined TGS 2026 as a Special Sponsor. They will support the event’s payment by implementing cashless payment terminals across food court food trucks and merchandise sales within the Family Game Park.
LY Corporation Joins as Official Communication Partner
LY Corporation is confirmed to participate as the official Communication partner for TGS 2026. Leveraging LINE, the company will support information sharing for TGS 2026 through initiatives designed to make navigating the venue more enjoyable.
Additionally, original TGS 2026 LINE stamps will be available to download for free via the official Tokyo Game Show LINE account starting August 25.
TGS BOOSTERZ Vol. 3 Announced
TGS 2026 will once again feature official ambassadors known as TGS BOOSTERZ – a group dedicated to the theme of “boosting and sharing the charm of Tokyo Game Show with the world”.
A total of 8 members from Japan and overseas have been confirmed as ambassadors:
- Actor Hideo Ishiguro
- Freelance announcer Atsuko Uchida
- US-based Instagrammers Kyle and Kawaii Coco
- South Korean game streamer KIMBLUE
- Philippines-based entertainer Taki
- Taiwanese Twitch partner Rice3_Master (⽶⽶⽶⼤師)
- Rappy, the official mascot character of TBS’ morning show Love It!
FGP Ambassador Appointed
Family Game Park 2026 is a free-admission area for junior high school students and younger, open for three days during the public days of TGS 2026, from September 19 to September 21.

The area will be located at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, next to Makuhari Messe. This year, the FGP Official Ambassador role was given to Sanapi, the Editor-in-Chief of the kids’ gaming magazine TV Game Magazine.
Sanapi will share easy-to-understand insights on highlight content aimed at families – like Asobiba! (Play Zone) and Manabiba! (Learn Zone).
Moreover, the latest issue of TV Game Magazine, September 2026 (released July 31), features a special cover-story spread on the appeal of FGP and Sanapi’s appointment as ambassador.
TGS NEWS STUDIO Launches with Its First Broadcast
TGS NEWS STUDIO was also launched, a brand-new official program for Tokyo Game Show.

The official news program packs everything you need to know about TGS 2026 into an easy-to-digest format. Anchor Shohei Taguchi will serve as the main host.
The debut episode covered special initiatives celebrating TGS 2026’s 30th anniversary and details on venue highlights like food offerings and the Event Stage.
The program will be released sequentially as an ongoing series leading up to and throughout TGS 2026.

TGS 2026 will be happening from September 17-21, with Business days from September 17-18 and Public days from September 19-21, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture, Japan
