Built around AMD’s RDNA4 Architecture, the new model targets mainstream gamers and system builders who need a budget GPU in this challenging economy. The ASRock Radeon RX 9050 Challenger sports an 8GB VRAM ideal for entry level 1080p gaming.
Entry Level AMD RDNA 4 Architecture GPU
The Radeon RX 9050 joins AMD’s growing Radeon RX 9000 Series lineup and is powered by the RDNA 4 architecture. The RX 9050 features third-generation ray tracing, up to 16 RDNA 4 Compute Units, and support for technologies such as AMD HYPR-RX and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). It also supports DisplayPort 2.1a, PCI Express 5.0, and comes equipped with up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory.
RX 9050 Challenger Cooling Design

ASRock’s Radeon RX 9050 Challenger 8GB features a boost clock of up to 2,600MHz and uses a redesigned dual-fan cooling solution. The card combines the company’s Striped Axial Fan design with Ultra-fit Heatpipes to improve heat dissipation during extended gaming sessions. It also includes a metal backplate for added structural rigidity, LED lighting, and Super Alloy Graphics Card components designed to provide stable operation over long periods of use.
AMD Radeon RX 9050 Challenger 8GB Pricing and Availability
ASRock confirmed that the Radeon RX 9050 Challenger 8GB will be available for both retail customers and system integrators across the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions. While pricing and a specific release schedule have yet to be announced, the launch positions the RX 9050 Challenger as a new option for users building mainstream gaming PCs with AMD’s latest graphics architecture.
