HMD Unveils Affordable Nokia 123 Shield Rugged Feature Phone

HMD has officially launched the Nokia 123 Shield, a rugged, budget-friendly feature phone designed for outdoor workers and those needing a reliable backup device. Expected to retail between EUR 35 and EUR 40.

The straightforward design features textured plastic sides for improved grip and a protective rubber flap covering the USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the specs, the device is powered by a Unisoc SC6531E processor and runs on the S30+ OS. It features 4MB of RAM and 4MB of storage, expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD. Users get a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a rear QVGA camera, and a bright built-in flashlight.

True to Nokia’s legacy, the 123 Shield boasts exceptional endurance. Its removable 1,750 mAh battery delivers up to 27.9 hours of talk time and an impressive 19 days of standby time. 

Available in green and purple, with a weight of 108g, it operates strictly on 2G networks (despite the phasing out of 2G networks) with a dual Mini SIM setup.
