Acer announced the Predator Atlas 8 (PA08-I51) gaming handheld, broadening the portfolio of high-performance solutions under the Predator brand at COMPUTEX 2026.

A New Standard for Handheld Performance
The Predator Atlas 8 features Intel Arc G-Series processors and high-performance graphics designed for smooth handheld gaming. It includes Intel Arc B390 graphics with ray tracing for enhanced visual detail and leverages Intel XeSS 3 technology for AI-powered upscaling, ensuring high frame rates and minimizing stutter. To maintain portability and performance, it is equipped with an 80 Wh battery and Intel Endurance Gaming, optimizing frame rates and power consumption for extended gaming sessions.
Predator AeroBlade Cooling
The device features a dual-fan cooling system inspired by the Predator laptop portfolio, including the first metal fan in a handheld device. The Predator AeroBlade fan has 89 blades, measuring 0.1 mm thick, which increases airflow by 10%. It works with a plastic fan, utilizing Vortex Flow tuning to enhance air guidance, allowing for quicker hot air expulsion and improved thermal control during intense gameplay.
Immersive Visuals and Audio
The Predator Atlas 8 includes an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. It supports VRR and features a 16:10 aspect ratio for enhanced visuals and gameplay. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC, providing scratch resistance and reduced glare. Touch input allows for 10-point multi-touch functionality. Audio is powered by DTS:X Ultra through dual 2-Watt speakers for enhanced detail, complemented by dual Acer PurifiedVoice microphones with AI-driven noise reduction for clearer communication during gaming.
Premium On-the-Go Gameplay Experiences
The Predator Atlas 8 features advanced connectivity with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, UHS-II microSD support, and the latest wireless standards through Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It includes a subscription to XBOX Game Pass for immediate gaming access on Windows 11. The customizable control layout is designed for comfort during extended gameplay, featuring full-size analog sticks and a dual-mode design for adjustable trigger feedback, catering to various game genres.
Rounding out the experience is access to PredatorSense, an app that has been a cornerstone of Predator gaming laptops and is now available on a handheld for the first time. PredatorSense gives players live system monitoring, performance mode activation, customization of RGB lighting, and access to gameplay settings, and a dedicated PredatorSense button enables fast in-game adjustments.
