KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS and 505 Games have just announced that DEATH STRANDING Director’s Cut, the definitive version of Hideo Kojima’s genre-defying game, is now available for Xbox Game Pass for PC and console.
DEATH STRANDING Director’s Cut – Xbox Game Pass
In DEATH STRANDING Director’s Cut, you take the role of Sam Bridges as he takes on the missions to deliver hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of America.
You’ll guide Sam and reconnect a society fractured by a cataclysmic event known as the ‘Death Stranding’, which opens the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead.
The new definitive edition now includes a new ‘Ruined Factory’ location, an underground compound packed with fresh dangers. Moreover, Sam also now has a wealth of new delivery assists, like cargo catapults, ramps, and a stabilizer with thrusters. The thrusters assist with cargo weight shifts and reduce the impact of landing when jumping from high places.
Combat changes were also introduced. There are new melee moves, including a dropkick, and a new Master Gun, which helps by stunning enemies and short-circuiting vehicles. Additionally, there’s a new firing range location, so you can find your perfect weapon loadout.
A new Racetrack enables you to race and compete in time-attack competitions against other players. Sam Bridges can even ride Buddy Bots to make exploring the wastelands easier.

The Xbox version of DEATH STRANDING Director’s Cut has also received an update to optimize the game for handhelds like the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X.
In addition to being available for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate tiers, you can purchase the DEATH STRANDING Director’s Cut through the Xbox Games Store.

Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
