Cignal has introduced a new logo to mark its 16th anniversary, signaling its evolution from a traditional television service into a comprehensive multimedia platform.

The brand refresh reflects the company’s expanded focus on delivering content across multiple platforms and formats.
Strategic Expansion Beyond Traditional TV
The logo change accompanies Cignal’s broader transformation strategy that centers on connecting Filipino audiences through diverse content offerings. The company has systematically expanded its services beyond conventional pay-TV to encompass streaming, sports content, and platform aggregation.
Cignal’s current portfolio includes Cignal Play, delivering linear television content directly to mobile devices, offering both live and on-demand programming alongside vertical-format microdramas. It also represents the company’s early move into mobile-first content delivery.
Sports-Focused Streaming Platform
Pilipinas Live is Cignal’s sports streaming application, providing coverage of local and international sporting events. The platform includes live broadcasts, game analysis, and exclusive content related to major sports properties including the NBA, PBA, and UAAP.
The platform also features Pilipinas Live Shorts, offering behind-the-scenes content with a focus on sports personalities. Interactive elements such as multi-channel viewing options and in-game polling aim to create community engagement among sports fans.
Content Aggregation Strategy
Cignal Super is the Philippines’ first streaming aggregator service. The platform consolidates content from multiple streaming providers including HBO MAX, Viu, Lionsgate Play, Hallmark+, Curiosity Stream, and Fuse+ under a unified subscription model.
This approach addresses the growing complexity of multiple streaming subscriptions by offering a single access point for diverse content types, from blockbuster films to documentaries and live sports.
Foundation in Traditional Broadcasting
Cignal still maintains its core pay-TV service using direct-to-home satellite technology. This infrastructure continues to provide content access across the Philippine archipelago, particularly in areas where internet connectivity may be limited.
The company has also leveraged its partnership with PLDT to deliver content through fiber and IP networks, expanding distribution capabilities beyond satellite transmission.
Leadership Perspective

Jane Jimenez-Basas, President and CEO of Cignal TV Inc., characterized the logo change as representing the company’s ongoing evolution.
“Our new logo conveys our continuing evolution. We will continue to innovate and deliver the best content for our beloved subscribers across all our platforms. These are exciting times for us at Cignal, and for the people we serve — especially in more years to come.”
