TECNO Mobile is set to unveil the TECNO Ultimate Phantom G Fold tri-fold concept device later this month. Ahead of this event, live photos of the device surfaced, revealing its mechanism and design.
TECNO Phantom Ultimate G Fold Tri-fold Concept
Based on the leaked photos, the TECNO Phantom Ultimate G Fold concept device will feature an inward-folding device that fully protects the inner panel.
When fully unfolded, it reveals the cover display on the leftmost panel and the triple rear camera on the middle panel. The triple rear camera is set up in a horizontal line that sits at the top edge of the device.
TECNO claims that the concept device, when unfolded, will have a seamless display with no visible crease. It does this by combining and layering a flexible display coupled with smaller hinge components and a dual-hinge mechanism.
It is also said to be the slimmest tri-fold to date, meaning it is slimmer than the lone HUAWEI Mate XT, which is 3.6mm thin when unfolded.
The TECNO Phantom Ultimate G Fold is still a concept device, and because of this, we don’t expect to see it hit mass production soon, but we’re thrilled to learn more about the concept device soon.
