A new leak suggests Qualcomm is working on a new high-end chipset called the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This chip is expected to be even more powerful than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and will likely be used in some of the most advanced smartphones launching later this year or earlier next year.
Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC Leak
A leaked promotional graphic discovered by SmartPrix and allegedly erased from Weibo reveals the “Snapdragon 8 Elite” moniker for Qualcomm’s forthcoming CPU. The image was a teaser for Xiaomi’s upcoming 15 series. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station hinted at the rebranding in a post.
Qualcomm has not yet officially confirmed the existence of the 8 Elite chip, so it’s important to take this leak with a grain of salt. However, if the rumors are true, this new chip could represent a significant leap forward in mobile performance.
