Huawei has just debuted the HUAWEI Mate 90 Pro Max in China. It is a device that’s camera-focused, with a 200MP RYYB telephoto camera and an optional 1-inch modular camera system for long-range photography.
This was introduced alongside the HUAWEI Mate 90.
HUAWEI Mate 90 Pro Max

Photography is the main focus of the HUAWEI Mate 90 Pro Max with a 50MP RYYB 1/1.28 OIS main lens, a 200MP RYYB OIS 4x periscope telephoto sensor, and a 40MP ultrawide snapper. There’s also a third-generation Red Maple primary-color camera for better color reproduction.

There’s also an option to get the HUAWEI Ruiying Z10 module camera, which brings a 1-inch RYYB sensor with 10x continuous optical zoom, 24-240mm focal zoom range, and an f/2.0 to f/4.5 aperture.
The HUAWEI Mate 90 Pro Max device supports 4K video recording and has a 13MP ultrawide camera coupled with a 3D depth-sensing lens setup on the front.

The front is a 6.9-inch 2848×1320 resolution LTPO OLED panel with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, under the hood is a Kirin 9050 chipset on the 12GB variant and Kirin 9050 Pro on the 16GB option. Yes, the latter is the same chipset used on the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 ULTIMATE DESIGN.
It draws power from a 6800mAh battery with support for 100w wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
Other notable features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, StarLight E2.0, NFC, eSIM support, and IP68/IP69 rating.

The HUAWEI Mate 90 Pro Max is available in China in four colors, namely Obsidian Black, Crystal White, Jade Green, and Rose Gold.

Essentially, there are two variants of the device: the base variant and the Collector’s Edition. The base option is offered in two configurations priced at:
- 12GB+512GB – CNY 9,499 (around PHP 89,100)
- 16GB+512GB – CNY 9,999 (around PHP 93,800)
Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition is priced at:
- 16GB+512GB – CNY 10,999 (around PHP 103,200)
- 16GB+1TB – CNY 12,999 (around PHP 122,000)
There’s also the HUAWEI Ruiying Z10 module camera available for CNY 5,999 (around PHP 56,300) or the Pro Max camera kit at CNY 19,499 (around PHP 183,000). There’s also a small rig teleconverter kit for both editions at CNY 1,799 (around PHP 16,900).
