The Shopee 9.9 sale marked the start of the Philippine holiday shopping season, and this year’s numbers point to faster fulfillment and creator-led discovery as the biggest movers. Orders processed through Fulfilled by Shopee (FBS) surged 2.5 times compared with the 9.9 campaign last year, the company announced.

“The 9.9 results give us a good indication of how Filipinos are starting to shop for the holidays. Our role is to make sure shoppers get what they need reliably, sellers can keep up with the demand, and creators have more opportunities to connect people with the right products.”

Shopee – Faster delivery for PH shoppers

The growth in FBS comes as the platform continues to expand the fulfillment support available to sellers during major shopping periods. Through FBS, sellers store products inside the platform’s fulfillment network across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, bringing inventory closer to buyers while the platform handles storage, packing, shipping, and returns.

For shoppers, the payoff is speed. FBS orders typically arrive within 1-2 days in Metro Manila and within 3-5 working days in Visayas and Mindanao, compared with 7-10 working days for non-FBS sellers in the region.

Content drives more of the shopping journey

Content-led shopping also grew sharply during the 9.9 sale. Active affiliates more than doubled compared with last year’s campaign, and watch time across Shopee Video and Shopee Drama surged 79% year on year. The platform’s live attracted over 3.7 million viewers during the campaign, a 73% jump compared with an average day.

With the 9.9 sale now in the books, activity on the platform is expected to build as Christmas draws closer, as more Filipinos shop, discover products, and engage with content. For more on how e-commerce and creator content are shaping the holidays, visit the official Shopee Philippines website.
