Acer has announced the Googlebook 14, its first laptop built around Google’s new Googlebook OS and the first convertible in what the company calls a brand-new category of premium, AI-ready laptops. The 14-inch machine leans on Gemini Intelligence and on syncing with Android phones.
Inside, it runs up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 355 with an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, paired with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe storage. Acer rates the 71 Wh battery at up to 16 hours of web browsing and up to 14 hours of local video playback, with fast charging that recovers 80 percent of capacity in an hour.

Continue On moves a task started on an Android phone to the laptop, while Cast My Apps opens phone apps on the Googlebook without installing them. Both require setup and supported devices running Android 17 or later. Proactive suggestions read what is on screen to offer context-aware actions, though Acer notes those features are available in select countries and languages.
“The new Acer Googlebook 14 puts intuitive and powerful tools with Gemini Intelligence at the fingertips of anyone wanting to boost their creativity and productivity,” said James Lin, General Manager for Notebooks at Acer Inc.
The hardware follows the same brief. The 14-inch 3K OLED panel runs at 2880 x 1800 in a 16:10 shape, with touch input, Corning Gorilla Glass, 500 nits of brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black. A cursor wiggle activates Magic Pointer, which Acer positions as the way to sketch and design on screen. USI 2.0 styluses are supported but sold separately.
The chassis is an aluminum-magnesium blend in Elemental Blue. Its 360-degree hinges are rated for 20,000 open-close cycles and MIL-STD 810H certification, and Acer lists clamshell, tent, stand, and tablet modes. A Glowbar on the lid shifts colour with battery and charging status, the palm rest carries Acer’s Comfort Touch finish, and the backlit keyboard and Gorilla Glass touchpad are rated moisture-resistant. It measures 13.9 mm thin and weighs 1.14 kg.
Wireless connectivity runs on Intel Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, with one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports and a 3.5 mm jack. A 5 MP camera with a physical privacy shutter, a triple microphone array, a fingerprint reader on the power button, and a Google Titan C security chip round out the package.
Acer says the laptop uses 49 percent circular materials and ships in 99 percent plastic-free packaging. It carries an EPEAT Climate+ designation and Energy Star 9.0 certification, with EPEAT Gold registration in Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United States.
Buyers get 12 months of Google AI Pro with 5 TB of cloud storage, an offer Acer values at $239.88. It covers eligible users who buy and activate an eligible Googlebook on or after October 1, 2026, in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, and must be redeemed by March 31, 2027.
Acer has not announced Philippine pricing or a launch date. The release says only that specifications, prices, and availability vary by region, and points buyers to their nearest Acer office.
