Design that still works
Marshall has one of the most recognizable visual identities in consumer audio, and the Stanmore IV benefits from that heritage without relying on nostalgia alone. The black vinyl-style finish, textured grille, brass-toned controls, and script logo still make it look more like a piece of music equipment than a generic smart-home accessory.
It is the kind of speaker that can sit in a living room, studio, office, or bedroom without asking to be hidden. For creators and music listeners who care about their desk or room setup, that matters. The Stanmore IV has enough visual presence to be part of the space, but it does not feel like a novelty item built only for photos.
Marshall also made a small but genuinely practical design change. The power cable and RCA connections are routed underneath the speaker rather than protruding from the rear. You do pay a premium for the Marshall name and aesthetic.
