The HONOR 600S is the newest member of the HONOR 600 series, and it tries to bring what people love about that lineup to more buyers without the premium tag. It leads with three things: a high-capacity battery, durability features, and AI capabilities. As of October 2026, pricing starts at PHP 18,999.

Design and Build Quality

The HONOR 600S belongs to the 600 series, but it clearly veers away from some of the design elements of its predecessors. It keeps the flat display and flat sides, yet the rear panel leans toward the X-series devices, and the rectangular camera island is gone. The result is a cleaner, more modern look.

You get the usual volume rocker and power button, and the latter doubles as a fingerprint scanner. On the left side sits a dedicated AI button, which you can map to a long list of functions, and that’s worth its own section below.

The device carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance, plus SGS Premium Drop Resistance, one-tap dust and water ejection, wet-hand touch enhancement, and it can even take underwater photos without a third-party case. HONOR’s own lab claims include 85°C high-temperature water, 10,000 water exposure cycles, and a 2.5-meter drop rating. For people who work in environments that constantly expose their phone to the elements, delivery riders, rescue workers, and more, this is exactly the kind of phone they should be looking at.
Performance

The HONOR 600S packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen4 processor, which is about what you’d expect for this category. It’s not going to impress anyone with benchmark scores, but everyday tasks like social media, web browsing, video and music streaming, and communication are all handled well. That’s the honest trade-off of the price band.
You get up to 8GB of RAM, which is acceptable, if not ideal. It gives you ample headroom for a bit of multitasking, and there’s a 6GB variant for people who don’t juggle as much. Storage comes in either 128GB or 256GB.
For gaming, Honor of Kings runs decently at high FPS and Quality preset, but if you want to play Genshin Impact, you’ll have to drop to the lowest preset.
Camera

The HONOR 600S’ 50MP main camera captures good photos in ample lighting, with a solid amount of detail and sharpness and a convincing bokeh effect. Depending on the situation, you might notice a slight delay after taking a photo before you can take the next one, but it’s negligible and doesn’t ruin the experience.
The catch is that you don’t get a dedicated telephoto or ultrawide lens, which limits how flexible the camera can be when shooting conditions change. You can digitally zoom up to 8x, but don’t expect stellar quality at that range.
The HONOR 600S’s 5MP front camera isn’t anything to write home about, but it does the job. Video recording maxes out at 1080p 30fps.
Audio and Multimedia
The dual speaker system on the HONOR 600S is more than loud enough for personal consumption, but the sound quality leaves a lot of room for improvement, especially in clarity and the low end. It’s decent, just nothing to write home about.

The 6.87-inch TFT LCD panel is where I feel the compromise most. It isn’t exactly mind-blowing, and realizing it’s only HD+ resolution on a screen this big is a bit of a letdown. You do get a 120Hz refresh rate, which at least keeps scrolling smooth, but the resolution remains the phone’s weakest spec on paper.
Battery and Charging

This is the HONOR 600S’s strongest feature. With the 8,100 mAh battery, it’s easy to get around 2 to 3 days of use depending on how heavy you go. In my own usage, mostly music, some YouTube and photography, and a bit of gaming, the phone easily lasted two work shifts with plenty of battery to spare. We’ll update this one with a proper battery benchmark in a follow-up.

Charging is solid too. With 45W HONOR SuperCharge and the charger that came in the box, the device got to full charge in just a bit shy of 2 hours. Not bad at all for a battery this size.
Software

The HONOR 600S runs MagicOS 10 on top of Android 16. There are a few pre-loaded apps, plus a folder of popular apps, which is relatively manageable.

The AI feature list is long: AI Eraser, AI Upscale, AI Cutout, and AI Outpainting for photos, plus Circle to Search, AI Memories, AI Translate, AI Voice Cloning Detection, and AI Writing. The headline act is AI Image to Video 2.0, which lets you use prompts to make videos out of your photos in various styles. There’s a daily limit on how many generations you can do, which is expected.
The AI button is genuinely flexible. It can be mapped to various functions, and it isn’t limited to the context menu that pops up depending on what’s on screen. You can also assign separate actions for short press, double press, and long press, which adds a lot of flexibility once you set it up your way.
HONOR 600S: Verdict
The HONOR 600S may not be as powerful and feature-heavy as its more premium siblings, but it gives you slices of the good things from those devices at a friendlier price. It’s built well and looks great, the durability features are good, the camera is surprisingly decent, the battery life is excellent, and the AI suite is extensive even if you may not need all of it. The AI button’s flexibility is a pleasant surprise.
On the other hand, some things aren’t ideal. The HD+ display deserves better, there’s no ultrawide camera at all, the processor could have been a step up, and the speakers sound average. At a starting price of PHP 18,999, I’d say it’s decent value, especially since everything is getting more expensive these days, though it could have been slightly better priced. For delivery riders, rescue workers, and anyone who just wants a phone that lasts two days and shrugs off the elements, this is definitely worth considering.
