HONOR confirmed that it will launch the HONOR Robot Phone in China next week. Ahead of its debut, though, leakster Digital Chat Station shared the alleged hardware that the innovative device will feature.
HONOR Robot Phone – Specs Leak
The HONOR Robot Phone is a seemingly futuristic device or prototype. It has a gimbal camera system on the back of the device.
It is said to feature a 6.3-inch 2560×1216 flat LTPO OLED panel with 6800nits of peak brightness. It is also speculated that it will have an AR anti-reflective film to keep its display readable, even in direct sunlight.
Under the hood, it is said to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 coupled with an enormous 7060mAh battery, and it comes with a 120W charging adapter.
It is also reported to feature three self-developed chips, namely the C1 for RF signal enhancement, E2 for power efficiency, and H1 for imaging.
Speaking of its camera system, it has a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch lens at f/1.6. It is this device that’s mounted on a gimbal arm. The main camera is joined by a 1/1.4-inch 200MP 2.7x optical periscope telephoto sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
HONOR confirmed that the device is the industry’s smallest 4DoF Gimbal System, and it features 3-axis Gimbal Stabilization. Moreover, it will feature AI Object Tracking, AI Spinshot, and it was done in collaboration with ARRI.
The new device will be introduced in China on August 12. We’d love to see the device debut in the global market, including the Philippines, but we’re just excited to see it hit the consumer market.
