Time for a new upgrade… in a new form
Smart Communications has opened Philippine pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z8 Series, covering the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8. The pre-order window runs from July 22 to August 13, 2026, through Smart’s online store and participating Smart Stores nationwide.
Customers who pre-order through Smart Postpaid or Smart Infinity can receive up to P14,000 in savings when moving from 256GB to 512GB storage, alongside three months of Samsung Care+ coverage, subject to availability and applicable terms.
Postpaid pricing
Under Smart Postpaid Plans+ 1999, the 512GB Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is listed at P101,600 outright or P5,021 per month over 24 months. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is priced at P91,100 outright or P4,500 monthly, while the Galaxy Z Flip8 is available at P65,100 outright or P3,217 per month. The installments carry zero interest when paid with participating Metrobank, Security Bank, BPI, UnionBank, HSBC, or RCBC credit cards.
Smart’s Plans+ include unlimited app bundles, 12 months of unlimited 5G access in select areas, open-access data, and network-priority access.
Trade-in option
The carrier is also offering the Smart and Samsung Trade-In Program for buyers who want to offset the price of a new device with an eligible smartphone. Customers can reserve a Galaxy Z8 Series model during the pre-order period and complete the trade-in transaction at participating Smart Stores once the devices become available.
Eligible trade-ins can provide up to P14,000 in discounts, which Smart says can be combined with its pre-order and storage-upgrade offers.
Smart Infinity and watches
The Galaxy Z Fold8 series is also available through Smart Infinity Plan 5000 and Infinity Plan 8000. These plans include unlimited data, calls and texts, roaming-ready connectivity, and Infinity benefits such as concierge support, airport lounge access, dedicated relationship managers, and priority assistance at Smart Stores.
Smart is pairing the foldables with the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2. Customers bundling a Galaxy Watch with a new Galaxy Z8 Series phone can save up to 20% against the suggested retail price, with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 LTE starting at P1,525 per month and the Galaxy Watch9 at P867 per month.
The Smart Device Link add-on lets compatible Samsung watches share a mobile number and plan inclusions with a phone. New subscribers who activate the service by September 30, 2026 can use it free for the first six months.
