vivo has announced that it will unveil the vivo X Fold6 in China on June 26. The build-up to this launch date has confirmed some of the specs of its upcoming foldable from the company itself and a company executive.

vivo has confirmed that the foldable will feature an 8.02-inch foldable OLED inner display with up to 5000nits of brightness, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, and a triple rear camera.

The triple rear camera features a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor. It is also confirmed that the vivo X Fold6 will be the first foldable to support a telephoto attachment.

Additionally, the company showcased the phone’s performance in extreme conditions. The X Fold6 was said to be continually operating at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. It is also confirmed to have an IPX8 and IPX9 rating, meaning it can withstand powerful water pressure.
vivo released a video wherein the vivo X Fold6 was used in a voice call during a skydive from an altitude of 4000 m.
The company also confirmed that the X Fold6 features an upgraded Global Signal Amplification System 3.0, supported by a 1+4 communication chipset.

vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao, on the other hand, confirmed that the foldable will have a 7000mAh Blue Ocean battery. It is a fifth-generation silicon-anode battery coupled with vivo’s third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology.

The vivo X Fold6 will come in four colors – Blue Cave, Salt Lake, Polar Night, and a Black Gold Edition. Moreover, it will arrive in four memory configurations in China, namely 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.
With over a week to go until the launch date for the vivo X Fold6, we expect to learn even more about the device and maybe its other niche features.
