Valve is preparing for a major summer hardware launch, as US import records reveal massive shipments of the highly anticipated Steam Frame VR headset and new Steam Machine.
Valve Steam Frame and Steam Machine Imminent?
The shipping logs uncovered by XR analyst Brad Lynch on ImportYeti showed that a cargo ship from Shanghai delivered 13 tons of “Virtual Reality Devices” to the Port of Los Angeles on June 10, 2026. This massive delivery is believed to be the initial stock for the Steam Frame, Valve’s upcoming standalone VR headset.
This arrival follows another massive logistical move. In May, Valve imported 50 tons of hardware classified as “Game Consoles” over just two days. Adding in earlier deliveries, the company has now amassed an estimated 141 tons of Steam Machine consoles in its US warehouses.
The company previously confirmed a Summer 2026 release window for both devices. While exact release dates and final pricing remain unconfirmed, these massive freight deliveries indicate that the company is rapidly stockpiling inventory in anticipation of consumer demand.
