Samsung‘s upcoming smartwatches are set to deliver notable battery capacity improvements. According to recent reports, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will feature a larger battery to keep it running longer.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Leak
Recent 3C certifications confirmed that both the Galaxy Watch9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will maintain a standard 10W charging speed. However, a new report from SamMobile reveals that the Watch Ultra 2 will pack a massive rated battery capacity of 784 mAh, which will likely be marketed as a typical capacity of 800 mAh. This is a significant upgrade from the 590 mAh battery found in the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

The standard Galaxy Watch9 lineup will also see some boosts. The 40mm model is expected to feature a 382 mAh rated battery (advertised at 400 mAh), a solid step up from the 325 mAh cell in the Galaxy Watch8 40mm model. Meanwhile, the larger 44mm model will reportedly retain the same 435 mAh capacity as last year’s iteration.
Samsung’s next generation of wearables, which is expected to include a new Galaxy Watch9 Classic, will launch later this summer.
