TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G, Now Official in PH
TECNO Mobile Philippines has officially launched the POVA Curve 2 5G in the country, adding a new option to the brand’s gaming-focused and battery-centric smartphone lineup. The device combines a large 8,000mAh battery, a curved AMOLED panel, and enhanced connectivity features in a relatively slim chassis aimed at users who want long battery life without stepping into higher price brackets .

The POVA Curve 2 5G measures 7.42mm thin and weighs 195g, which TECNO says makes it the world’s slimmest curved-display 5G smartphone with an 8,000mAh battery. The new model carries the brand message “Power That Never Drops,” putting the spotlight on endurance and network stability as its key selling points for the Philippine market .
TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G Feature highlights
The biggest talking point here is the battery. TECNO says the phone can last up to three days on a single charge, with quoted figures of up to 72 hours of continuous use, 103.4 hours of music playback, 33.8 hours of navigation, and 18.8 hours of gaming, while 45W fast charging can refill the battery to 50% in 36 minutes .

It also includes Bypass Charging 2.0 to help reduce heat during gaming or streaming sessions by powering the device directly from the charger when possible. On top of that, the phone supports 10W reverse wired charging, allowing it to act as a backup power source for smaller devices in a pinch .

TECNO is also pushing the device’s connectivity story. The POVA Curve 2 5G uses the company’s G1 signal enhancement chipset and SE1 Wi-Fi enhancement chipset alongside its UPS 3.0 signal optimization algorithm, with TECNO claiming support for 20 5G bands, 33% lower network latency, and 70% faster upload speeds compared to its predecessor .
Display, chipset, and cameras
For performance, the handset is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor, which TECNO says can reach an AnTuTu score of up to 850,000. It is paired with a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, while durability is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i .

Camera hardware includes a 50MP main rear camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 13MP front camera. TECNO also says both the front and rear cameras support up to 4K video recording, rounding out a spec sheet that leans heavily into multimedia and all-day use .

Other features mentioned in the announcement include IP64 dust and splash resistance, SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification for drops of up to 1.5 meters, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, FreeLink 2.0 offline communication support of up to 1.5km, and HiOS 16 based on Android 16 with built-in AI tools .
Price and availability in the Philippines
The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G comes in Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium. It is now available through TECNO concept stores and authorized retail partners nationwide, while its online first sale is scheduled for May 26, 2026 via TikTok Shop .

TECNO has priced the POVA Curve 2 5G at PHP 16,999 for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which the company notes includes 8GB of extended RAM. Buyers will also receive a TECNO gift box and a Globe customized 5G SIM card with UNLI5G and free data for one year, based on the announcement .
For this price segment, the POVA Curve 2 5G appears positioned for buyers who prioritize battery life, display smoothness, and daily connectivity over camera-first branding. Its combination of a massive battery and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED panel could make it a notable option in TECNO’s current mid-range portfolio in the Philippines
