HUAWEI has just introduced the HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max, and the rest of the HUAWEI Pura 90 series in China. Yes, you read that right, Pro Max, not Ultra. The company is the latest to join the companies that drop the Ultra moniker for a Pro Max name, like the original Apple and recently Xiaomi.
The new series was introduced alongside the HUAWEI Pura X Max, its new form-factor foldable.
HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max – Pura 90 Series Launch
The HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max and Pura 90 Pro both share a similar design to their predecessors, but bring back the gradient design, which is a callback to the P20 and P30 series.

Around the back, the HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max boasts a 1/1.28-inch 200MP 4x periscope telephoto lens. It is said to deliver sustained detail preservation even in dimmer lighting conditions. It also has a CIPA 7.0 image stabilization.
The main 50MP RYYB camera has a Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor (LOFIC) sensor and supports a 10-stop variable f/1.4-4.0 aperture. Rounding out the module is a 40MP ultrawide lens.
The Pura 90 Pro, on the other hand, has a 50MP RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size and an f/1.4-f/4.0 variable aperture. It is joined by a 50MP 4x telephoto snapper and a 12.5MP ultrawide camera. Both the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max have a 13MP front camera.

Lastly, the base variant features a 50MP main, a 50MP f/2.2 periscope telephoto, and a 12.5MP ultrawide camera system. A 50MP is also equipped on the front to handle selfies.
The HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display, while the Pura 90 Pro is built around a 6.6-inch panel. The duo features FHD+ LTPO OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by 2nd-generation Kunlun glass. The Pura 90, on the other hand, has a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel.
The HUAWEI Pura 90 series is powered by a Kirin chip, the Pro duo are equipped with the Kirin 9030S, while the Pura 90 uses a Kirin 9010S.
