Technology giants Intel and NVIDIA have announced a landmark partnership to integrate Nvidia’s powerful GeForce RTX graphics directly into future Intel CPUs.
The collaboration, which has been described as a “historic” fusion of two major platforms, will see the creation of “x86 RTX SoCs” (systems-on-a-chip) for consumer PCs and data center products.
Intel X NVIDIA Partnership
For consumers, this partnership is expected to dramatically enhance the performance of laptops, mini PCs, and gaming handhelds that rely on integrated graphics. By placing an NVIDIA GPU “chiplet” on the same package as the Intel CPU, the companies can significantly reduce latency and increase bandwidth, leading to a substantial boost in gaming and AI-related tasks.

This could mean features like DLSS and ray tracing could be enabled without the need for a separate, dedicated graphics card.
Moreover, the alliance also has significant implications for the broader market. It gives NVIDIA a direct entry into the x86 CPU space, while Intel gains access to Nvidia’s world-class GPU and AI technology.
The deal poses a direct challenge to rival AMD, which has long been the leader in the integrated CPU and GPU market with its Ryzen APUs. The two companies will hold a press conference to provide further details on this unprecedented collaboration.
